More Sonic Generations 3DS details: StreetPass, Versus mode, and more

More details have emerged about the upcoming Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Generations, along with a handful of new screenshots.

Both classic and modern Sonic will be saving a variety of friends as they rush along, and in later playthroughs these friends will then accompany Sonic on his travels.

Concerning the game's StreetPass features, you'll be able to unlock special missions and collectables by connecting with other players.

There's also a two-player Versus mode, for racing against friends through the game's Story levels - although this is multi-card only, which is a bit of a bummer.

Sonic Generations on 3DS is due to be released this November.

Pocket Gamer talked to Sonic producer Takashi Iizuka recently. He discussed Sonic Generations, and what the future holds for the fastest hedgehog in the world.
