OnLive has been providing its online game streaming service for US gamers since June last year. Now we've been given a release date of 22nd September for the service’s debut in the UK.

If you're unfamiliar with OnLive, it's a service that enables gamers to stream games from the cloud rather than forking out for high-end gaming rigs.

While iPad users have been able to watch PC-based games like Crysis being played on the OnLive Viewer app since December last year, from 22nd September they'll presumably be able to play those games too.

There’s no news yet on what the subscription cost will be.
