Owlchemy Labs has revved the engine of its physics-based driving game Snuggle Truck up to version 1.5, and has slashed its price in celebration.

For the next 24 hours, you can get behind the wheel of this Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning game for just 69p / 99c / €0.79 if you own an iPhone, and £1.49 / $1.99 / €1.59 if you have an iPad.

Besides bug fixes and low-level optimisations, the new update delivers a full-featured level editor for both versions of the game.

Level up

With aforementioned editor, you have the power to create underground, forest, and desert levels, and pack them with obstacles, decorations, power-ups, and fuzzy spawners.

Once finished, you can add your creations to the Level Portal, an online community hub that collates custom levels created by Snuggle Truck players. If you don't fancy contributing, you can simply search, play, and rate other players' masterpieces.

Furthermore, the developer has moved the game's UI from the bottom of the screen to the top, to prevent accidental coverage of important info and unintentional presses of the back button.

Waxing the hood

Smaller changes include the ability to double-tap your device's screen in order to activate the rocket, tweaked difficulty settings for some of the game's nastier levels, and improved text visibility.

Finally, some of the game's art content has been upgraded to a higher resolution, and your virtual mantelpiece will now need room for five extra achievements.

If that gets your gas pumping, you can grab Snuggle Truck right now from the App Store at a discounted price, before it returns to £1.49 / $1.99 / €1.59 and £1.99 / $2.99 / €2.39.
