Spy Mouse debut gameplay trailer finally out of the Firemint traps, game due later this summer
Sneak...or be snacked
Since February, Firemint has been dangling its line-drawing strategy game Spy Mouse (previously known as Agent Squeak) in front of us like a particularly alluring slice of Brie.
Today, however, Agent Squeak finally breaks cover, as the renowned Australian developer releases its debut gameplay trailer for the forthcoming iPhone and iPad cheesefest.
While Firemint may have proven itself already on the App Store with the fantastic Flight Control and the seminal Real Racing, company CEO Rob Murray has even bigger ambitions for Spy Mouse, hopeful it can become the "Mario of the iPhone gaming world."
The debut trailer below, meanwhile, showcases the main gameplay elements in Spy Mouse, namely avoiding cats and collecting cheese via a line-drawing mechanic.
We also discover that Spy Mouse will contain 72 challenging levels, split across six explorable worlds, and that sneaking around is of paramount importance.
The game definitely looks to possess the polish we’ve come to expect from Firemint, though we’ll have to wait until later in the summer to sample its Brie delights.
