ARMA II Firing Range starts tour of duty on Tegra 2 Androids

The first-person Firing Range spin-off from PC military sim ARMA II has arrived on the Tegra Zone and Android Market today from the series's original creator Bohemia Interactive.

ARMA II should be a familiar name to our PC gaming readers, since it’s widely regarded as one of the most detailed and conclusive military simulators around on any platform. I don’t mean, 'has bullet drop and health recharges a little slower than the norm' - I mean, 'one shot and your character is in hospital.'

Firing Range focuses not on the art of war itself, but with the pre-war period - shooting at moving / stationary targets.

The game uses the detailed weapon models seen in the main game, and has all the same attention to detail when it comes to the weapons’ stats and feel.

We’ll be taking it to a disused industrial site and squeezing off a few rounds for a review soon, but you can grab the game now for £1.22 from the Android Market [download].
