Angry Birds update adds 15 new levels, more collectible jewels

Just hours after Angry Birds HD got a price cut, Rovio has updated the original Angry Birds with some new swag, as well as a few bug fixes.

Version 1.6.2 is available for iPhone now, and introduces 15 extra levels into the Mine and Dine episode. You'll also be able to find new collectible jewels.

And if you've been experiencing lengthy loading times during your Angry Birds sessions, you'll be pleased to hear that this update should put a end to that.

The other platforms' versions of this high-flying trajectory puzzler haven't been updated yet, so Android and Windows Phone users are stuck on version 1.6.1 for now. It's probably only a matter of time before they get to feel the update love, too, mind.

Angry Birds is available worldwide from the App Store, Android Market, and Windows Marketplace.
