Crackdown 2: Sunburst pulled from Windows Phone for good

Refunds for those who purchased it in past 60 days

Crackdown 2: Sunburst pulled from Windows Phone for good

For reasons not fully explained, Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst was pulled from the Zune Marketplace the other day, meaning it is no longer available to purchase or re-download (if you’ve already stumped up the cash).

Even worse for those that have already purchased the game, the turning off of the game servers means that it’s basically unplayable now.

Posting on the official Facebook page, the developer has said that anyone who has "purchased the game in the past 60 days, you will receive a refund credited to your account."

This suggests that we’re unlikely to see the hyped (but ultimately disappointing) Windows Phone exclusive back on the Marketplace in the future.

That’s not going to be much consolation for people that have stuck with the game since release, though, as there are no planned compensation for these players.

The official Facebook page, meanwhile, is set to be turned off tomorrow.
