T-Mobile UK updates its network-branded Galaxy S to Android Gingerbread
Baked longer for that extra crunchy taste
It’s taken T-Mobile a long time to get around to it, but the network has confirmed today via its forums that its Samsung Galaxy S handsets will now be updating to the latest version of the Android OS.
If you’ve not been paying attention for the past half a year, Android Gingerbread adds a few improvements over the previous version, Froyo - adding refinements to the UI, better (read 'slightly more aggressive') copy-and-paste functionality, and more control over running applications and battery feedback, among others.
If you want a full run-down of all the features Gingerbread brings to Android, you can always check out your friend’s Android phone, which was updated months ago.
