3D hack-and-slasher Guardians: The Last Day of the Citadel arrives on iOS

Guardians: The Last Day of the Citadel, a 3D hack-and-slasher RPG for iPad and iPhone, has just landed on New Zealand's App Store.

The impressive graphics are powered by the Unity engine, with artistic design said to be inspired by a mix of fantasy, the middle ages, and the renaissance.

The gameplay looks solid, too. Guardians boasts a complete Story mode, an original soundtrack, and some cinematic-style fight sequences.

Guardians: The Last Day of the Citadel is out now on the New Zealand App Store, and should be available in the rest of the world later today, likely priced at £2.99/$4.99.
