Android Market for web updated with ratings breakdown
|

Google has updated the Android Market for the web today so that it now includes a detailed breakdown of review scores from other users.

The new system (which you can see on the Android Market should you select an app) displays how many people have given the app a particular star rating, a lot like how both the Amazon Appstore and the Apple App Store run things.

Alas, there’s no option to see what version of the app the reviews were for (as opposed to Apple’s service), nor is there the ability to search through written reviews by star rating (so you can tell how many people have written “love this game” before accidentally hitting one star).

But it, along with other recent alterations like Editor’s picks and compatibility checks, demonstrates that Google is keen on upgrading the Market’s functionality.
