Professor Layton Royale social game coming to DeNA's Japanese Mobage platform

Developer Level-5 and social gaming giant DeNA have announced a new partnership at a joint press conference held yesterday in Tokyo.

As part of the collaboration, the aforementioned developer will be bringing Professor Layton Royale - a new social title - to DeNA's Japanese Mobage platform.

Professor Layton Royale will be a crossover with DeNA's popular Kaito Royale series of titles, and will see you taking on the role of a detective, a thief, or a run-of-the-mill citizen.

Unfortunately, our detective skills don't quite match that of the Professor's, so that's all the gameplay information we have for now.

Previous Professor Layton titles have been popular here at Pocket Gamer Towers, with DS outings Lost Future and Curious Village both earning prestigious Gold Awards.

Professor Layton Royale, meanwhile, is set for an autumn release on Mobage.
