Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja for iOS gets bullet-time Pomegranate in update
House of pain
Halfbrick's immensely popular fruit-chopping casual game Fruit Ninja for iPhone and iPad will acquire an extra fruit today in a free update.
The Pomegranate is “a multi-slice bullet time fruit”, allowing you to add large numbers of points at the end of every Arcade game and randomly throughout Classic games. It won't make an appearance in Zen mode, however, encouraging as that would an un-tranquil frenzy of chopping.
The update will also bring a new piece of music to the Dojo, and allow you to view friends' all time highest scores.
Fruit Ninja, which first hit the App Store more than a year ago, and which will soon get an Xbox Kinect version, involves using your finger to slice flying fruit while avoiding bombs. In April it passed the 25 million downloads milestone on all platforms.
You can download it from the App Store now for 59p/99c using the iTunes link below the teaser trailer.
