Originally a Flash release, Robotube's four-way block-dropping game Bloktonik is now coming to iPad.

The deal follows on from Robotube's acquisition by US outfit Gaijin Games last year. The iPad version is the first joint project between the two companies.

Don't be square

As for the gravity-based gameplay, you have to match at least four of the coloured blocks which fall from four directions towards the screen centre, using swipe controls to align them.

High scores come as you unlock the secret bonuses and power-up bombs - leaderboards and achievements are supported via Game Center

And keeping you in the mood, music is provided by chiptune chap Bit Shifter, and deep house DJ Jimpster.

Bloktonik will be released for iPad soon. In the meantime, you can play the Flash version here.
