Ducati Challenge HD overtaking iPad on the inside

Digital Tales has followed up its disappointing MotoGP 2010 iPhone experience with a new high-speed offering called Ducati Challenge HD.

In this souped-up iPad racing sim, you can tear around a variety of tracks on officially licensed (and authentically sounding) Ducati motorcycles, including the Monster 1100 EVO, the Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP, and the Streetfighter S.

Bikers can participate in a single-player Championship mode or 4-way multiplayer races over wi-fi, screeching past everything from mountains to metropolises, and desert valleys to (bizarrely) a medieval village.

Ducati Challenge HD supports Game Center, so speed demons can brag about their fastest lap times to all and sundry.

Let's hope Digital Games has righted many of the MotoGP 2010 wrongs - such as fuddled controls - in this Ducati-based sim, which does at least offer customisable levels of graphical quality to best suit your device's spec.

Ducati Challenge HD is available now on the App Store for £3.49/ $5.99 / €4.99.
