La Vita a Bella: Sony source code reveals that NGP’s new name is the real deal
|

After pictures of Sony’s E3 brochure recently emerged apparently revealing the new name of its forthcoming next generation portable, rumours have gathered apace that PS Vita is entirely genuine.

And now it seems that the format-holder may have inadvertently confirmed the veracity of said whispers, as the HTML source code of Sony’s E3 website contains the words ‘PS Vita’.

Coupled with the tip-offs from anonymous sources, and the brochure pic – not to mention the company’s past history of pre-E3 leaks – it seems more than likely that we have our official name.

No word yet on whether it’s ‘vita’ as in ‘La Dolce Vita’ or ‘vita’ as in ‘Vitalite’, though the latter would make a good name for a revised slimline model in a couple of years' time.

Either way, we’ll find out for sure during Sony’s press briefing at E3, which begins at 5pm PST, or a sleep-depriving 1am over here.
