Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D touchscreen controls revealed for first time

The creator of the Metal Gear franchise and all-round gaming genius Hideo Kojima has posted a screenshot on Twitter (over there on your right, sir) of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D running on 3DS.

The pic showcases the game's touchscreen controls for the first time, with what looks to be weapon and item equip menus.

Also, if you look very closely and squint, there appears to be a drop in / out camouflage menu, something that the original game could have done with in the first place.

Gyro-mania

In a spout of information generosity, Kojima also confirmed gyroscopic controls for Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater on 3DS in his tweet: "I at last crossed the suspension bridge using the gyro controls."

We can only speculate as to their exact use at the moment, but it's probable the gyroscope will be used for moving the camera around in the game’s first-person mode.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater is lauded as one of the series’s best, and, according to Kojima-san, those in attendance at E3 next week will have the opportunity to sneak about on the 3DS version first-hand.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D is reportedly debuting in November, though confirmation hasn't yet been received from Konami itself.
