Play Tegra games on non-Tegra devices thanks to Chainfire 3D video driver

If you've been repeatedly kicking your own shins over not being able to play Tegra 2 specific games, then now is the time to stop.

Thanks to the OpenGL video driver Chainfire 3D, a few nifty plug-ins, and bit of crafty tinkering you can now play Tegra specific games on non-Tegra devices.

As is usually the case, not every game will work and some devices are likely to just buckle at the mere thought of running 3D graphics in the first place.

Chainfire is free to download from the Market (link), but only works on Android 2.1+ (not including Honeycomb), requires at least 1Ghz of CPU power, and you'll need a rooted handset if you want it to function in the first place.

Over here in the original XDA Thread, you can pick up the plugins and get some idea as to what can and can't run.

Check it out for yourself in the video demonstration below.
