iOS Angry Birds-worrier Air Penguin gets 25 new stages, new playable character in update

Coinciding with its epic 'Dollar Deals' sale, Gamevil has released new levels and a new playable character for former 'next Angry Birds' Air Penguin on iOS.

As we reported, The 'Dollar Deals' sale includes all Gamevil games, (except curiously, Skipping Stone IQ at £3.08) each priced at 59p/99c on the App Store, with a 2p mark-up for UK Android users. It's not clear when the sale will end, so catch them before the medicine wears off.

In the new version (1.1) of Air Penguin, there are 25 extra stages of Arctic antics in Story mode, and a new 'Mommy' character to put through unmitigated peril.

There are new snowy obstacles to avoid, four brand new Game Center achievements to unlock, and a free in-game fish.

We enjoyed Air Penguin, but felt that its tilt controls had some issues. It was touted as an Angry Birds killer when it hit the App Store last month, but it's since dropped down the charts.
