Karate curd: action puzzler To-Fu: The Trials of Chi pings onto iPhone later this month
Accept no meat substitute
London-based game developer HotGen Ltd has announced the forthcoming release of To-Fu: The Trials of Chi, an action-puzzler that’s set to bounce onto the App Store by the end of May.
Players stretch the flexible – and edible – hero with their finger, ‘pinging’ him from platform to platform, avoiding obstacles and collecting orbs across 100 levels.
Sticky To-Fu himself is a cute and appealing lead – a kind of cuddly soy, if you will – whilst the hazard-filled levels (buzzsaws, spikes, more spikes) are redolent of indie belter Super Meat Boy.
Each stage is set to offer a different challenge. One trial asks you to catapult To-Fu to the Fortune Kitty at the end of the stage using just one ping, while another puts several security lasers between you and the exit.
Take a look at the screenshots in our gallery, which should give you an idea of how it plays.
To-Fu: The Trials of Chi will launch across all iDevices before this month is out.
And here's what it plays like.
