Exclusive: Pocket God update 39 brings new island, shark suits, and 38 retrospective challenges

It's the most updated game on the App Store ever, but tomorrow (May 18th) Bolt Creative's Pocket God gets another big free update as it hits chapter 39.

Set on the new God Island, the Challenge of the Gods update has a temple and a collection of pedestals to fill with brand new God idols, which have been retrospectively added across the previous 38 updates.

This means you have to go back into the history of Pocket God - chronologically, if not literally, back to the start of 2009 - to complete new challenges and unlock them.

Completing the set will give you access to the temple's secrets and give you a peek into the new miseries that await the pygmies in chapter 40.

We're equally excited however about the 59p / 99c / €0.79 Shark Pack, a new in-app purchase that gives you access to fish suits for the ever-present pygmy-hungry fish, including robot shark suit, alien shark suit, tiger shark suit, and more.

The free Pocket God Challenge of the Gods update arrives tomorrow, as does the Shark Pack.
