The Playforge's undead-crammed dig-'em-up Zombie Farm has been updated with native iPad support and a host of other goodies.

Alongside the ability to "see your farm in all its glory" comes higher resolution zombies, better looking invasions, and bigger menus.

Further additions include a new player profile bar allowing you to easily switch between multiple accounts, and greater control over which notifications you receive, such as 'invasion ready' and 'wither warning'.

Several bug fixes have also been made.

There's no such thing as a free meal

Finally, a new pack of brains - the game's premium currency - has been added and is available through in-app purchase for the discounted but nonetheless eye-watering price of £39.99/$69.99.

For your money, you'll receive 100 brains and a special exclusive pet brain not available in any other way.

New social features have been promised for future updates.

You can pick up the newly universal Zombie Farm from the App Store for free.
