Social Facebook game FarmVille goes Gaga crazy with early access to Born This Way album
Words With Friends Gaga contest a go go
In what would appear to be a very late April Fools joke, the New York Times is reporting a partnership between FarmVille creator Zynga and meat-clad singer Lady Gaga.
As part of the partnership, players of Zynga's FarmVille will have exclusive early access to Gaga's Born This Way album, a whole week before its May 23rd release.
"I want to celebrate and share Born This Way with my little monsters in a special way that's never been done before. Zynga has created a magical place in FarmVille where my fans can come play, and be the first to listen to the album." Gaga said in a press release.
From May 17th, Lady Gaga's farm – GagaVille – will appear alongside your neighbours and will house crystals, unicorns, and sheep riding motorcycles.
To gain access to the album, you have to complete a variety of tasks. Although specifics are yet to be given, these normally involve collecting items from friends.
Word-er FaceWords With Friends, a Scrabble-esque mobile game from developer NewToy – recently snapped up by Zynga - will also be seeing some Gaga action in the form of a themed word of the day.
Using the special word during play will automatically enter you into a contest to win an autographed copy of Gaga's new album.
According to Zynga's Owen Van Natta, “This is a massive opportunity for you to be entertained in ways that you have never had before.”
Words With Friends is available from Apple's App Store for £1.79/$2.99 and from the Android Marketplace for free.
