Meet the Fokkers: Air Force vs Luftwaffe coming to iPhone this Friday, iPad version already on the ground

Bitmen Studios’s iPad shooter Air Force vs Luftwaffe HD, which hit the App Store last week, will be joined by an iPhone version this Friday.

You’ll be able to play as both Allied and Axis forces, taking control of British RAF and USAF planes or their German and Italian counterparts, as you battle for aerial supremacy.

The game features a variety of missions, with tasks ranging from escorting friendly planes to bombing enemy emplacements. Successes earn you experience points, increasing your rank and unlocking further fighters, of which there are 12 authentically detailed models to choose from.

There’s OpenFeint support, too, with leaderboards and achievements, while customisable controls allow you to switch between on-screen buttons and tilt-based manoeuvres to guide your chosen craft.
