Fast deckbuilder Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer coming to iOS

Unless you're into card or deck-building games, the news Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer is coming to iPhone and iPad is likely to leave you cold.

However, created by Gary Games, together with some Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour Champions, it's designed to provide a fast experience that scales for newbies up to people who actually know what they're doing.

Monster mash

A basic overview of the gameplay sees you playing resource cards to recruit Heroes and Constructs, which enable you to perform advanced actions. You also defeat Monsters to gain Honor tokens, which is the eventual goal if you hope to win the game.

Indeed, it continues until all the Honor tokens have been collected, with the winner being the player with the highest total of tokens combined with the Honor value of their deck.

You can read more about how it works on the official How To site.

Shuffle the pack

Incinerator Studios is working with Gary Games to bring Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer to iOS.

As part of the conversion, it's adding automatic scoring and tweaking some of the rules but will maintain the core 'easy to learn and quick to play' elements.

Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer is due to released in May, priced $4.99, €3.99 or £2.99.
