More iPhone 5 rumours: 8-megapixel camera, A5 processor, mass production to begin in September

Concrete news on the iPhone 5 is, predictably, rather hard to come across, not least because it doesn't officially exist.

There are plenty of iPhone 5 rumours, however.

The latest comes from Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities, who claims the iPhone 5 will use the same A5 processor as the iPad 2 - something we heard hints about last month.

Kuo also corroborates previous rumours that iPhone 5 will boast an 8-megapixel camera.

The device's antenna design has supposedly been improved, too, following the widely publicised 'grip of death' issues connected with iPhone 4.

Ming-Chi Kuo's final titbit of info is that the device will begin mass production in September.

Kuo, who's purportedly been speaking to sources in Apple's supply chain, has been spot-on with such predictions in the past.

If he's right, there's no hope of a traditional June launch. Which makes sense in light of the rumour that Apple is yet to order all of the iPhone 5's components.
