Robot Unicorn Attack dashing onto the Android Market today

Other Adult Swim titles likely to jump the divide later in the year

Robot Unicorn Attack dashing onto the Android Market today

Adult Swim’s bizarre Flash games are starting to make their way across to Android, with the incredibly ‘flamboyant’ (and oddly hilarious) Robot Unicorn Attack due for release later today on the Android Market.

Robot Unicorn Attack is an endless running game featuring the titular unicorn bounding happily across platforms, performing ‘rainbow dashes’ to make it across the wider chasms, and being decapitated by stars.

More importantly, it’s all performed to the sound of Erasure’s ‘Always’, which sounds like a minor point, but ends up being one of the most astute audio picks a game has made.

The next titles pencilled in for release on the Google platform from Adult Swim are another two Flash/iOS hits - the twisted Amateur Surgeon and Five Minutes (To Kill Yourself).

We don't know exactly when these will arrive, but Adult Swim’s VP Jeff Olsen has said that future games will likely appear if Robot Unicorn “performs well”.

Robot Unicorn Attack will be available on the Android Market later today for $1 and we’ll have a review of the Android version shortly after the game goes live.
