Sony to release an Android Honeycomb tablet this summer
|

We first learned about a possible Sony tablet back in February, just after MWC, when a source speaking to Engadget revealed that the company is working on a 9.4-inch tablet codenamed the S1.

The rumoured tablet would be PlayStation-certified, running the PlayStation Suite. So far the only similarly equipped device is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play – check out our review of that here.

The Sony tablet rumours have resurfaced thanks to an interview with Sony CEO Howard Stringer in Japanese newspaper Nikkei. According to Stringer, a device will be available by the end of summer, running Google's Android Honeycomb. It'll go on sale in the US first.
