Windows Phone 7 ‘NoDo’ update being rolled out from today
Staggered worldwide rollout expected
Microsoft will start rolling out the ‘NoDo’ update to Windows Phone 7 handsets today after a lengthy delay (it was originally scheduled for January).
The update is jam-packed with new features and tweaks though, including the ability to copy and paste, speed improvements to boot times, more control over wi-fi settings, improved Marketplace search, camera tweaks, and support for Bluetooth headsets.
There’s also performance increases to a certain range of (undisclosed) models of phones, which suggests they were slightly slower than the norm on release. Naturally Microsoft isn’t revealing which ones they are, the cads.
Full details of the update can be found on the official Windows Phone 7 update page.
Let’s hope this one rolls out a little smoother than the last, which caused a fair degree of consternation for Samsung Omnia 7 owners.
