Gamevil’s side-scrolling action-RPG Illusia has been unleashed upon an unsuspecting Android Market today as a premium download priced at $4.99 (£3.09 in the UK).

Illusia tracks two heroes as they attempt to solve a mystery surrounding the strange appearance of an eerie tower by doing what all heroes in fantasy worlds love to do - smack in monsters and level up.

The two starting classes - Fighter and Magician - branch out over the course of the game into 14 different sub-classes, while usual RPG staples - including customisable weaponry, armour, and a special skills that can be deployed in battle - all feature heavily.

The game missed out on a Pocket Gamer medal when it was first released on iOS at the tail-end of last year, with Damien McFerran praising the, "appealing presentation and a suitably epic quest", but not enjoying the platforming controls too much.

If you can stomach shaky voiceovers, check out the trailer.
