Galaxy S to get Android Gingerbread by the end of March
No April fools
Samsung Romania has confirmed via its Facebook page that the Galaxy S will be receiving Android Gingerbread this month, via a gradual roll-out starting from the 20th of March.
The news bats away fears that Samsung may leave Galaxy S owners out to dry once its successor - the S II - launches later in the year (which comes with 2.3 pre-installed).
There’s some good news for the Galaxy 3 and 5 as well, because these two mid-range models are also due to receive Froyo before the end of the month. Well, it’s better than being stuck on Eclair.
