Nintendo confirms Super Mario 3DS, promises more at E3
It's a me
Iwata has just stepped off the stage after Nintendo's keynote at GDC.
There are few things less surprising than a Mario announcement at a Nintendo keynote, particularly since Miyamoto discussed it in a recent Iwata Asks session, but in any case here it is.
Nintendo has formally announced that it's making a Super Mario game for the Nintendo 3DS, revealing that it's being developed by the team behind Mario Galaxy.
That's pretty much all the big N had to share on the subject, but Iwata did point to the tail attached to the Super Mario logo on the screen behind him, inviting attendees at the keynote at GDC to speculate what it means.
More will be revealed at E3 in June.
