The Pocket Gamer Awards 2011: The Winners

And the PG Award goes to...

The Pocket Gamer Awards 2011: The Winners
|
iOS + Android + DS ...

Forget the Oscars. This week's biggest entertainment-related event has to be the Pocket Gamer Awards 2011. They're shorter, more fun, and winners aren't likely to begin crying while thanking their parents, siblings, third cousins, agent, hair stylists, and pet orcas for making it possible for them to become game developers.

Oh, and there's no risk of having to attend a dreary after-show party, either. With the Pocket Gamer Awards, the show is the party.

Okay, we're not entirely sure what that means. But we do know that below you'll find our list of winners, as judged by the entire PG editorial team (no casualties this year).

If you're wondering how we got here, do check out the Pocket Gamer Awards 2011 Finalists.

The winners have just been announced at a special event taking place during GDC 2011 in San Francisco (thanks to the support from our sponsor, Papaya) and although most of you won't get to sip the sweet taste of free alcohol or enjoy our unique humour, you will at least get to see the results near simultaneously.

(By the way, this week we'll also kick off the Pocket Gamer Readers' Choice Awards where you can vote on your favourite title of 2010 across the same formats. More on that later.)

Right now, though, huge congratulations to this year's awardees.
