Addictive accelerometer-based iPhone shooter Tilt to Live, from developer One Man Left, will be receiving a cooperative mode in its next update.

It will be free to anyone who purchased the 59p / 99c / €0.79c ¡Viva la Turret! expansion, and will hopefully be available to download before February is out. The developer submitted the update to Apple today.

In the co-op mode, one player mans the turret while the other player is responsible for navigating the enemy forces and collecting jewels to buffer the team’s score. Mr Turret has to defend himself and his partner, while his buddy delivers pickups to refresh the turret.

Whenever a turret dies, a pick-up appears meaning whoever grabs it first gets a go on the machine gun next.

The mode will be playable locally, via both wi-fi and Bluetooth. If you haven’t picked up Tilt to Live yet, you’ll need to grab both the original 59p / 99c / €0.79c game, and its beefy 59p / 99c / €0.79c expansion, to play the co-op mode.
