Chinese manufacturer ZTE has unveiled its new smartphone at the World Mobile Congress.

The ‘Skate’ is the company’s new flagship phone and boasts a 4.3 inch display. No resolution has been given.

The phone’s design is apparently inspired by a skateboard and will run Android 2.3. An 800MHZ processor powers the device, while it uses the Adreno 200 GPU.

Other features include a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, A-GPS, and wi-fi. The whole package weighs in at 120g.

One slightly odd aspect of the Skate is that the listed cellular frequencies are incompatible with American networks, meaning that the phone is unlikely to be released over in the United States.

The phone is expected to be released worldwide in May 2011. Engadget
