Capcom still has no plans for UK release

Japanese only Ghost Trick comes to iPad with universal update

Capcom’s spirited adventure game Ghost Trick has received an update that brings the spectral story to iPad. The free app (with additional chapters unlocked through in-app purchases) is now universal, meaning the same game works on both iPhone and Apple's all-conquering tablet.

The update also adds a few extra bits and bobs: a mode where yappy dog Missile tells your fortune, and a handful of sliding puzzle boards to play with.

Ghost Trick is a spooky adventure game from the lead designer of Phoenix Wright. You play a recently murdered spectre who’s trying to find out the reason for his death - and solve a few more entangled mysteries while he’s at it - before his soul departs the Earth at daybreak.

But while the excellent DS adventure is available in the US and UK, the iPhone version is still exclusive to Japan. Pocket Gamer asked Michael Larson, director of marketing at Capcom, if the publisher had any plans to bring the iOs app out in English.

“Not at this time,” he told us.
