geoDefense and geoDefense Swarm heading to Windows Phone 7

Two of the most striking (and divisive, going by the comments page) games available on iOS are heading for Windows Phone 7 soon, in the form of geoDefense and geoDefense Swarm.

Unlike iOS, WP7 isn’t exactly overflowing with high-quality tower defence games right now, so both games’ eye-catching geometric visuals and fast gameplay should be a welcome diversion from norm.

Critical Thought Games is currently putting the finishing touches to the original game, which the developer has called ‘a rewrite, more than a port’ as it features a number of tweaks and redone artwork for the new platform.

iPhone gamers shouldn’t feel left out, though, as the blog post goes on to talk about a new tower defence game due for later in 2011 that contains the ‘signature brand of design characteristics’ from earlier titles.

Could this be the long-awaited GeoDefense 2? We'll have to wait and see.
