Windows Phone 7 iBlast Moki suffers major technical issues on some phones, update submitted

Godzilab’s iBlast Moki has divided opinion on the Zune Marketplace since its release at the tail-end of 2010.

It’s not the explosive gameplay of the Pocket Gamer Silver-Award winning iOS title that’s had many people gnashing their teeth, though. It's the slew of technical issues that appear to affect certain handsets but not others seemingly at random, despite the purported lack of fragmentation between WP7 handsets.

Godzilab has told us that an update is about to be submitted to Microsoft that should clear up the major issues currently affecting users, including the Purple Screen of Confusion (this isn’t the offical term, by the way), and the overly-sensitive touch controls that can prevent the player from selecting a level in extreme circumstances.

So if you’re a current owner of a slightly ill-looking iBlast Moki, keep an eye on your Marketplace updates number over the next few weeks.

Remembering to ignore that bug in WP7 that makes every upgraded trial version say it requires an update when it doesn’t, of course.
