Nintendo’s latest monster-hunting RPG game will be available in UK shops on March 4th. That means the hotly anticipated critter-collecting DS game will hit Europe two days before it makes its way stateside.

Like the previous million Pokegames, you’ve got two versions to choose from. They’re mostly carbon copies of each other, but with just enough changes and tweaks to encourage trading, or compulsive double-dipping.

There’s a slightly different line-up of Pokemon and colour-exclusive legendaries. Black owners get the dragon / fire hybrid Reshiram, while White players are lumped with the dragon / electric Zekrom.

There are also entire areas unique to each game. The imaginatively named Black City and White Forest are metropolis and woodland environments, only found in their corresponding games.

Pokemon Black and White released in Japan last year to rave reviews. The country’s leading games magazine, Famitsu, gave it a coveted 40/40 review score.
