This may seem like an unlikely scenario if your phone struggles with the most menial of tasks but it seems that some can actually run too fast for their own good.
The Nexus S’s Hummingbird processor already runs at an impressive 1GHz, but one user has released a kernel that increases the speed to a meaty 1.2GHz. While this undoubtedly increases performance, it does have the slightly negative effect of disabling the phone's Bluetooth capabilities.
The creator has not yet released a fix that restores Bluetooth so the kernel remains the preserve of those willing to make sacrifices for a really fast phone. Engadget
