Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror: Remastered for iPhone and iPad hits the New Zealand App Store

Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror: Remastered has been released for iPhone and iPad in New Zealand.

A remake of the original 1997 hit on PC and PlayStation, this new iOS version features enhanced graphics and music, along with "fully animated facial expressions". There's also a new context-sensitive hint system and in-game diary.

The game includes an additional treat in the form of the included exclusive interactive comic from Watchmen co-creator Dave Gibbons, who provided art and animations for Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars - Director's Cut.

As well as the near-obligatory Game Center achievements, those with multiple devices can take advantage of the game's Dropbox integration, which allows for sharing of save games via the web.

Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror: Remastered is priced at NZ$9.99, and should be available within the next 24 hours in the UK and US for £3.99 / $6.99.
