English version on the cards?

Ghost Trick for iPhone out tomorrow in Japan

Capcom has announced that upcoming Nintendo DS title Ghost Trick will be coming to Japanese iPhones tomorrow.

Ghost Trick is the latest game from Ace Attorney creator, Shu Takumi, and is one of the strangest new releases on Nintendo’s handheld.

Starring as the spirit of the recently deceased Sissel, your aim is to possess and ‘trick’ various objects strewn around a level in order to influence an event unfolding in the mortal world.

During our preview of the DS version, this involved distracting (and eventually disabling) a hitman before he murdered Sissel's mysterious female companion.

The Japanese version will be free for the initial two chapters, with the rest of the package available to buy as in-app purchases for a total price of 1500 yen.

There’s no word on an English release yet, but considering the original DS version isn’t due until January we doubt it’ll be on other App Stores for a good few months at least.
