Many brickbats have been leveled at artist and game director Luc Bernard, but laziness has never been one of them.

And so it is that the workaholic auteur is revisiting his side scrolling dark fairy tale Eternity's Child in a new game for iPhone and iPad.

Reboot up the ass

Originally planned for WiiWare and DS, but only released on PC via Steam, it was somewhat notorious in its original unpatched state, causing much discussion among reviewers.

However Bernard says this version is a complete remake.

"The characters and worlds will be similar and it will use the original soundtrack, but there will be new baddies and worlds," he explains.

"The gameplay will be different and the game won't use any of the old levels or animations."

Indeed, even the title will be changed.

We should get more information soon too as the game is expected to be released before the end of 2010, Apple's approval process withstanding.
