“I’m hearing the first Windows Phone 7 update is going to be MASSIVE”, says Windows Phone 7 software developer Chris Walsh on Twitter.

The developer on Microsoft’s smartphone platform has taken to the Twitterverse to describe just how beefy the phone’s January feature bump will be.

“Microsoft took three months to do what Apple did in three years”, says the coder. “Let’s just say, they could have called it Windows Phone 8.”

Expected (but, at this point, rumoured) features include copy and paste, voice-guided Bing maps navigation, custom ringtones, third-party multitasking, and more.
