A game that's gained Silver awards in its mobile and iPhone releases, Samurai Puzzle Battle has now turned up on Nokia Ovi store in a free version.

Released by Connect2Media, and developed by Vivid Games, the match-three game is what our reviewer Spanner called "a rare gaming hybrid of turn-based strategy and action puzzler".

Go Shogun

Set in a fictionalised feudal Japan, it has you commanding units such as samurai, archers, mechanical spiders, zeppelins, tanks, warrior monks, kamikaze fighters, ghosts and demons, with all the battles you trigger from the map screen taking the form of match-three puzzles.

This free version is ad-supported and requires a data connection to serve them up, but other than this, comes highly recommended.

You can check it out on the Ovi store here.
