Real Racing 2 out for iPhone before Christmas
Firemint promises 10 hours of campaign play
Working as fast and hard as a V6 engine, developer Firemint is readying Real Racing 2 for a December debut on iPhone and iPod touch.
The Australia-based company has been working for some time on the game, which will be out by Christmas, according to a statement made today.
"We are aiming for a pre-Christmas release and will support iPhone 2G and iPod touch 1, up to the latest devices with a particular focus on bringing out the best of the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 hardware."
New tracks and championship events are promised for Career mode, which Firemint claims "easily provide[s] 10 hours of gameplay." Of course, that's without counting multiplayer.
While not confirmed, online multiplayer via Game Center is likely. Firemint recently announced a forthcoming update for the original Real Racing that will add online play; as such, it only seems reasonable to expect as much when the sequel is released.
We'll know soon enough when Real Racing 2 will be available for iPhone and iPod touch this December; pricing has yet to be announced.
