Having hit the #1 position on the Paid German App Store with its first release, German developer Phantoom Entertainment is going bigger and better with Super Blast 2.

The tilt-based shoot-'em up is based around 12 different types of enemies - called Creeps - which have their own fighting style, and are supported by end of level bosses.

Of course, you'll be backed to the hilt with plenty of weapons and power ups. And your victories will be tracked and announced with support from Game Center and OpenFeint in terms of achievements and leaderboards.

Bang goes my heart

"Following on the success of Super Blast, we wanted to offer a bigger and better version of the game that incorporates feedback that we received from fans around the world," said Phantoom co-founder Andreas Wolff.

"We kept the amazing graphics, animations and simple game mechanics while making improvements that helped to extend the gameplay for casual players, including options for increasing the difficulty for the more hardcore gamers."

Super Blast 2 is due out in early December for iPhone and iPod touch, priced 99c.
