Bulkypix’s strategy game Battlestar Commander HD hits iPad
Are you shaking your tactics at me?
Busy French publisher Bulkypix has released a (currently) iPad exclusive strategy game on the App Store in the form of Battlestar Commander HD.
The turn-based tactical game has you commanding a giant spaceship in an epic battle against a galleon of enemy craft.
It’s all about upgrading the weapons and defences on your mothership's deck to turn the tide in tactical warfare. As you move through the landscape you’ll get points for every downed ship and every base you level. You’ll then need to spend those points wisely in upgrading your arsenal.
Double upThe single player story-based campaign features 50 missions, spread across 22 planets.
In multiplayer, the giant iPad screen means you can play against a pal on the same device. Simply lay the tablet down and sit at either end of the screen. From here, the game turns in to a fast-paced competitive shooter, as you launch planes and gun down enemy craft.
It’s out now on iPad, although an iPhone edition is coming soon. Battlestar Commander HD is yours for £2.39 / $3.99 / €2.99.
