Capcom has revealed the first screens and titbits of info about the next free update to Street Fighter IV for iPhone.

Along with the expected extra fighter – this time it’s everyone’s favourite (unless you’re Ryu) Thai-Kickboxing, eyepatch-flaunting Sagat – Capcom also revealed a few new game mechanics that bulk out the feature-list of the impressive multiplayer side of the game.

The new update introduces Player Cards to the mix, which are essentially stats screens for the fighters you face, and an impressive sounding Arcade Wait mode that allows you to continue playing single-player until you receive a worthy challenger for a multiplayer session.

There are no details as to when the update will land on the App Store, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled. Before then however, you can check out the new screenshots of Sagat in action, beating up Ryu and, mysteriously, DeeJay.
