Memorable arcade classic Splatterhouse will be ported to a handful of different mobile platforms, including iPhone and BlackBerry, on November 18th.

The handheld port is intended to hype you up for the home console reboot that’s set to hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 five days later.

The game’s all about Rick, a psychology student with a nifty Jason-equse mask, who’s charging through a monster-filled mansion to save his girlfriend Jennifer.

Splatterhouse, which was later ported to TurboGrafx-16 and PC, was notoriously gory and bloody, and even sported a parental advisory warning long before the ESRB got involved.

The iPhone and iPod touch version will get an exclusive Splatter Rush Mode, where players can stay put and attack waves of monsters. It will set you back £1.79 / $2.99 / €2.39.

The game will also release on Java, BREW, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile, but pricing is down to the various store holders and carriers.
