Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective for DS out on January 11th in the US
European date spookily absent
The next title from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, has been announced for North American release on the 11th of January next year.
Ghost Trick follows the plight of the recently-deceased Sissel as he tries to piece together the circumstances surrounding his death, who he was, and why he was murdered in the first place.
The gameplay is odd, revolving around possessing various objects strewn across each of the scenes with Sissel’s spirit. Once possessed, these objects can be ‘tricked’ into performing an action, like ringing the bell on an old bicycle to distract a hitman from killing his target, for instance.
There’s not been a confirmed release date from Capcom as to when we Europeans will be receiving the title, but you can always suppress your rage by reading about the game in more detail via our recent hands on.
